Hiya from lovely England. My family made a big move in the middle of the pandemic, sold our home in Winnipeg, MB and moved to Cambridge, England for my husband's 6 month sabbatical at the end of 2020. Knowing that I wouldn't be working outside the home during this time I needed to decide what I was going to pursue. Without hesitation I knew it would be art. I brought some art supplies with me and purchased more during our 10 day isolation.
I spent a lot of time staring out the magnificent windows in our isolation flat, that became the inspiration for my first paintings here.

Longing was strong to be outside and explore this new place we were calling home. Nature is a place of reset for me, I was needing that to feel present and connected. I was so thankful for the large windows that could open without screens allowing my face to feel, smell and hear.

There were magnificent trees in the garden behind our flat and a large field beyond the hedges calling to me. I had to document them in my way. 10 days lasted forever and was over before I knew it, the connection to our new home had begun.
